Downed tree limbs could be seen in Kumbia, Queensland, after an intense storm hit parts of the state on Tuesday, December 26. South Burnett South State Emergency Service Controller Arthur Dawson told the South Burnett Times on Wednesday that emergency crews spent the night before surveying storm damage but “had a lot of trouble getting into [places] due to trees on the roads and highways.” He said Kumbia, along with area from the Bunya Mountains through to Boondooma, were badly hit by the storm.
