It might be the most wonderful time of the year, but kids take Christmas as seriously as we do our work days, maybe even more! To give you an example as to how seriously a kid can take this holiday, we’ve got a video showing a little girl’s message to Santa, written in bright red letters on some fresh snow.

Jo-Ann Murphy shot video of the message her daughter left for Santa Claus while they were playing in fresh snow outside their home on December 17 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada: “Santa stop here. Leave presents, take brother!” Nine-year-old Jennifer Murphy loves “making people laugh,” her mother said, and she sent a photo of the message to her thirteen-year-old son Ryan’s phone, to which he replied with a “smiley” emoticon.

Sure, parents can teach their kids the importance of thankfulness and generosity, but who can blame a kid for wanting presents real bad? Because that was the single biggest motivation Jennifer had, when she defiled the fresh powder in front of her house to give a direct message to the big man himself. Apparently, Jen’s older brother was “too much to handle”. She even makes it clear for Santa that she’s not the naughty one, with a continuation “Santa, I tried. Brother was worst!”

Forget letters to Santa, write a message that will make a clear point and eventually melt away. It won’t hurt if you make the whole neighborhood laugh in the process.
