Ambulance Leaves Scene After SUV Hits Pedestrians in Melbourne

An ambulance was seen driving with its siren wailing after police confirmed multiple people had been struck by an SUV driven by a man later arrested at Flinders Street Station on Thursday, December 21. Ambulance Victoria confirmed they were treating at least 15 people following the incident, some of them with serious injuries. At 5:30 pm, Victoria Police said a number of people were being treated for a “range of injuries”. “Police have saturated the CBD area in the vicinity of Flinders, Elizabeth and Swanston streets to ensure community safety,” they said.
