Israeli soldiers hurled gas canisters in the direction of groups of photographers and journalists in Hebron on Friday, December 15, pushing and shoving as clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces continued in the West Bank. Tensions have been high in the Palestinian territories and Jerusalem since US President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel on December 6. This footage also shows Israeli soldiers firing weapons. At another point protesters are seen hurling gas canisters fired at them by Israeli forces back in the direction of the soldiers. Both Palestinian and Israeli media reported that four Palestinians were killed during Friday’s protests across Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank. The Times of Israel reported that one of those killed had allegedly stabbed a border police officer and was wearing a suicide vest when he was shot by Israeli forces.
