One person was killed and another 21 were injured in an explosion at a gas plant outside Vienna on Tuesday, December 12. The blast, at the facility in Baumgarten, has impacted supply routes to Italy, news reports said. Russia’s natural gas exporter Gazprom Export said it was seeking ways to reroute supplies to avoid bottlenecks. Italy declared a state of emergency but expected supplies to be up and running again at some point during the day. Credit: Facebook/Erwin Windsteig via Storyful
