Strength, patience, and courage were required when it came to removing this red-bellied snake from a home sitting on the Sunshine Coast. A Queensland family has received a nasty Christmas surprise after finding a black snake nestling among the presents under their tree before squeezing into a printer.

Of course, this wasn’t the Christmas present they were expecting so they called well-known snake catcher Stuart McKenzie to remove the large snake from their home. The experienced snake catcher managed answered to the call and came to the rescue.

Footage shows family members standing on furniture in order to avoid any contact possible with this nasty intruder. After several attempts, Stuart managed to pull the large snake out of its hiding spot and put it into a bag. It is crazy how the snake managed to fit in there in the first place.

Stuart McKenzie of Snake Catcher 24/7 Sunshine Coast brought an arduous hunt to catch an eastern brown snake that had been lurking under a family’s Christmas tree.

The red-bellied black snake is a species of elapid snake native to eastern Australia. Though its venom is capable of causing significant morbidity, a bite from it is not generally fatal and is less venomous than other Australian elapid snakes. It is common in woodlands, forests and swamplands of eastern Australia. It is one of Australia's best-known snakes, as it is common in urban areas along the eastern coast of Australia. It has an average total length of 1.5 to 2 metres (4 ft 11 in to 6 ft 7 in).
