Girl Loses It When Family Dog Destroys Elf On The Shelf So Mom Rushes Him To The Emergency Room
It’s a Christmas miracle for one unlucky Elf on the Shelf!
The Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children shared the amazing story of one toy elf that they helped “save.”
Orlando mom Jenn Thelen awoke on December 5, 2017, to the screams of her 7-year-old daughter, Aubrie. But the little girl wasn’t hurt or in danger — she was just reacting to the horrible discovery that their German shepherd, Zoey, had gotten her paws on the Thelen family’s Elf on the Shelf, Sam.
Zoey ripped the poor elf to pieces, even severing his limbs. But thanks to Jenn’s quick thinking, all hope wasn’t lost.
Jenn is the nurse manager for the ER at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. She assured her little girl that the special medical team there would be able to save the elf.
Jenn took Sam (along with all of his ripped pieces) with her to work that morning. The staff in the trauma bay at the hospital played along, putting their utmost care into “saving” Sam’s life. Their efforts were recorded in a video, which the hospital later shared on their Facebook page. From there, the story went viral.
Check out the video below to see the hospital staff’s efforts to save Sam and the sweet moment that he and Aubrie were reunited at home — far from Zoey’s reach.
