Fire Crews Work to Douse Wind-Fueled Lilac Fire

Air tankers and firefighting planes were spotted dropping fire retardant across Fallbrook-Bonsall, California, area on Thursday, December 7, to combat the 2,500-acre Lilac Fire. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, the fire destroyed “dozens” of structures and threatened 1,000 more. Mandatory evacuations were issued for thousands of homes.
