A rainbow that reportedly lasted for nearly nine hours was spotted in the skies above Taipei on November 30. According to the Taiwan News, based on observations from two researchers from the Department of Atmospheric Science at Taipei’s Chinese Culture University, the rainbow lasted from 6:57 am to 3:55 pm. Two professors at the university, Chou Kun-Hsuan and Liu Ching-Hwang, led efforts to document the rainbow, the BBC said, and intended to apply to the Guinness Book of Records with their findings. The current record dates to 1994, when a six-hour rainbow was documented in Yorkshire. Credit: YouTube/Ching-Hwang Liu via Storyful
