Frightened pedestrians moved away from the Oxford Circus tube station in central London as armed police responded to an “incident” on Friday, November 24, after multiple unverified posts on social media described hearing “gunshots” in the area. Multiple people, including the singer Olly Murs, reported gunshots inside Selfridges department store. Police later reported one minor injury occurred as people left the station following the incident, but said they were not aware of other injuries. The Met Police found no traces of gunfire and cleared the scene. Credit: Instagram/@jr.travel via Storyful
