A 25-year-old Swiss citizen learned a very valuable and public lesson when he attempted to stowaway an easyJet flight from London to Geneva on Sunday night by hiding in the plane’s toilet. How did he get caught? The toilet’s ‘busy’ light was on.

The man’s somehow sneaking onto the plane without a ticket aside, his plan was foiled when flight attendants noticed that all the passengers were in their seats but the “in use” sign on the toilet was on.

One witness told a local paper that police arrested the man and searched the plane thoroughly, but did not find anything suspicious. Still, some passengers were so distraught up by the whole incident, that they decided it is best to disembark and take a later flight.

Investigation reveals that the man didn’t just sneak through the airport and onto this flight. According to a spokesperson for London Gatwick Airport, he had a valid boarding pass for an earlier flight to Geneva, but missed his plane. The reason - easyJet will not rebook a missed flight unless the passenger purchased some type of insurance, so this man apparently decided that he was going to use stealth to get back home.

The moral of this hilarious story is: Don’t hide anywhere with a light that alerts other people you’re inside.
