The south and east of Ireland were hit by heavy rain on November 22. The Irish Met Office predicted that up to 40 mm of rain would fall in some areas. A homeowner in Clonaslee, Co Laois, was none too pleased to find that a hole in a riverside wall was allowing floodwater to threaten his property. He said the damage to the wall was caused by a drunk driver a month ago and had not been repaired. Credit: Twitter/JD Finnerty via Storyful
