Rumble Pet-owners often tend to teach their dogs new tricks, but have you ever considered teaching your goldfish some tricks? Well. this talented goldfish has been taught by its owner to jump through hoops on command.

Law student Jane Tsai, 26, from Columbus, Ohio, USA, has been teaching her 10-weeks-old goldfish Max to jump through hoops for almost three weeks. She started off by teaching Max to follow her finger by putting her finger against the glass and dropping food right on top of it. How neat!

Jane began doing that consistently and began sticking small bits of freeze-dried bloodworms to her fingertip and holding it above the surface of the water, so Max quickly learned how to jump out of the water to get the treat.

Then, Jane held a hoop with her finger in it so that Max would jump through the hoops and get treats off Jane’s finger. This ambitions goldenfish owner plans to teach her pet to push a small floating ball through a ring in the future.

Owner introduced Max to new tricks after she recognised the fish is quite inquisitive and brave as she loves exploring new toys and changes in her environment. Max is very smart and fearless, so Jane wasn’t surprised that she managed to learn this hoop trick. Her owner might not be surprised, but we sure are!
