This amazing time-lapsed footage shows a sunrise at Mauna Kea, a dormant volcano in Hawaii. The footage was recorded in May of this year and this is what uploader Michael told Storyful about the breath-taking time-lapse: “I climbed up onto a volcanic crater rim to position the camera so that it could have an unobstructed horizon and a good view down into the valley. The glowing red area in the center of the frame is a volcano. The car lights racing along the road are tracing out the famous “Saddle road”. The sky is extremely dark and clear at this altitude, and the milky way is exceptionally bright and crisp." Credit: upbandshell via Storyful
