Most toddlers form inseparable bond with a cuddly toy, but these siblings formed such amazing bond with a living kangaroo. Alia Heckathorn from Northern Virginia, United States, was first introduced to the animal called Boomeroo when she was just a few days old and these two have been inseparable ever since.

Alia's parents, Julia and Jason Heckathorn, have been caring for the kangaroo and treating it as an educational animal with their children, as Mrs Heckathorn writes and illustrates a series of children's books called Search for the Hidden Clover, which chronicle the adventures of animals to educate children about the importance of caring for the environment. Boomeroo is one of the characters in Julia's books, which means that Alia’s bedtime stories come alive as the characters in the books her mother reads to her are almost like family pets.

It is amazing how these adorable siblings have formed a remarkable friendship with a kangaroo. Watch as these toddlers, 18-month-old Luke and his sister, three-year-old Alia, play with their unusual pet. They enjoy spending time together and love playing games, giving hugs, feeding and snuggling with the roo! These adorable boy and girl have formed inseparable bond with a baby kangaroo and enjoy playing and eating together.

Mrs Heckathorn explains that Boomeroo and Alia love to eat outside together. Alia will share treats, which makes Boomeroo a happy girl. Then,'Alia will sit on the deck and draw with her pavement chalk while Boomeroo sits by and watches, and later they will walk around together in the yard as Alia talks to Boomeroo and offers her grass or hay.

Kangaroos often have a reputation for being aggressive creatures prone to fighting in mobs.
However, Mrs Heckathorn believes that her daughter is safe with Boomeroo, as she has been raised as a licensed educational animal. What a special bond!
