LIVE! Bankman-Fried Pretrial Detention? Kohberger Moves to Dismiss Indictment! Schabusiness Guilty!

Welcome to Friday Night Frenzy! It's been a busy week in law, so let's try to break down some recent developments in the cases we've been covering.

🚨 On the docket 📢 -

➜ United States v. Samuel Bankman-Fried. The government dismissed it's campaign finance charge against Bankman-Fried and conspiracy theories are running rampant. At the same time, Bankman-Fried has put himself in hot water with the Court after contact nearly everyone under the sun with inside information on those who might be called to testify against him at trial. The Court is NOT happy, but is it enough for Bankman-Fried to have bail revoked and face pretrial detention?

➜ State of Idaho v. Bryan C. Kohberger. Bryan Kohberger filed a motion this week seeking to dismiss his grand jury indictment. The motion is...interesting... Combine that with Kohberger's notice of alibi and we've got some things to catch up on in that case.

➜ State of Wisconsin v. Taylor D. Schabusiness. After a final competency hearing last week, Taylor Schabusiness went to trial on first degree intentional homicide, mutilation, and third degree s.a. (yes, in that order) and in a trial that lasted four total days was found guilty of all charges and sane (losing her petition for a finding of not guilty by reason of insanity). Brief recap - keeping it brief, promise.

We also have Sarah Boone's July 21st letter to the Judge in Florida expressing additional frustrations at the progress of her case, and maybe a preview of a trial coming up in September that's got me fascinated.
