Rainstorm Brings Severe Flooding to Chennai Roads

A severe rainstorm hit Chennai on Thursday, November 2, causing severe flooding on major roads as cars plowed through knee-deep waters. According to The Hindu, rain lashed the city from several hours starting from the evening, and almost 6 inches of rain had been recorded just after midnight. Local trains were running at reduced frequencies and flights in and out of Chennai airport were also affected. Some households reported that the storm had cut off their power supply.
