Harley the cockatoo was not worried by the steep entrance of a new house. While on holiday in Germany the beautiful bird jumped confidently from one level to the other, taking her time as she enjoyed the German countryside.

This Blue-eyed cockatoo is an Internet celebrity, mostly because of her, ahem, dislike of towers. Specifically, she hates those colorful towers that her owners’ kid makes with plastic cups. In one video, Harley descends on those colorful toys like King Kong, screeching at the top of her lungs and knocking each and every one of those highrises. That all would have been great, if she didn’t finish her attack with a menacing evil-scientist-like laughter. Should we run for our lives now?

The Blue-Eyed Cockatoo is extremely rare, but is known to be one of the friendliest and most playful of the Cockatoos. However, just like any Cockatoo, they are also very needy. If you own a Cockatoo, then you know why they are called the “love sponges" of the parrots. And you also know that they are the most needy of all the pet birds and often love their owners too much.

Cockatoos require a lot of time and attention–much more than any other pet bird. If you are able to spend at least two full hours a day with your bird (out of his cage), not leave the house for 6 or more hours everyday, cook for your bird and provide him with a variety of healthy foods, handle the loud screaming, afford the large cage and huge amount of toys, then getting one of these gorgeous birds as a companion is a great idea.
