Ultra-Orthodox Jewish protesters blockaded an entrance to Jerusalem as they staged a singing protest over conscription on Monday, October 23. This video filmed by onlooker Ser Tzangaukar featured hundreds of Haredi Jews assembled underneath and on the Jerusalem Chords Bridge. They held placards and swayed together in rows as they sang. The demonstration was the latest in a long-running series of protests against military conscription in Israel. Earlier this year, the High Court of Justice withdrew a law that exempts ultra-Orthodox Jews engaged in religious study from military service, the Times of Israel reported. At least 10 people were arrested in Monday’s protests in Jerusalem, the newspaper reported. Credit: Twitter/Ser Tzangaukar via Storyful
