Lage waves lashed the Aberstwyth seafront on Monday, October 16, as the remnants of ex-Hurricane Ophelia passed through Wales. Teaching at Aberystwyth University had be suspended earlier in the day as the edge of the storm passed over Wales’ western coast. Ceredigion Council said on Twitter that various roads had been closed. Natural Resources Wales, a government sponsored body, also put out a flood warning for Aberystwyth’s coast.
