As Storm Ophelia battered Ireland on October 16, 2017, an all-boys Community School located in the heart of Douglas in Cork City felt its wrath when the roof of its gymnasium was ripped apart and sent airborne. Onlooker Deirdre Wallace recorded the extraordinary footage from her bedroom window and managed to capture the moment the roof from the school’s gymnasium hall took off.
