Drone Footage Captures Flooded Streets of Puerto Rico Weeks After Hurricane Maria

A drone video captured by Eloy Perez on October 10 shows the San Juan, Puerto Rico, neighborhood of Ocean Park flooded after heavy rain hit the island weeks after Hurricane Maria. National Weather Service in San Juan issued flash flood warnings for several parts of Puerto Rico as strong thunderstorms continue to strike the island. Coast Guard crews continued to deploy supplies from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, including food and bottled water, to Puerto Rican survivors of Hurricane Maria stranded in remote areas by mudslides and washed out roads. Puerto Rico governor Ricardo Rossello said on Tuesday that the death toll from Hurricane Maria had risen from 43 to after two people were killed by a bacterial disease called Leptospirosis.
