Shelby Church is one of the biggest influencers online, with hundreds of video. Naturally, people come to her for advice and she is happy to share he stand on things.

One of the things her viewers ask her most often is the type of camera she uses and what kind of camera they should get for their needs. With such a wide variety of brands and types of cameras on the market, it is only natural that the choice if tough, especially if you don't have the knowledge to make the right choice.

So Shelby got her hands on two very different gadgets to make a comparison of the differences between each (other than the price tag, of course). She chose the $500 Canon G7X Mark II and the whopping $5000 DSLR Canon 5D Mark IV camera.

Both cameras were judged based on how they make macros, portraits and landscape photos, as well as a montage of clips shot by both cameras.

All in all, both camera do incredible jobs at what they are supposed to be doing, with the 5D showing up way better.

However, splurging $5000 on a digital camera will not automatically makes you a better photographer and cinematographer. It is all in knowing your tech and how to use it.
