Protests were held across Russia on October 7 to call for the resignation of President Vladimir Putin and were organized to coincide with his 65th birthday. This video from Moscow shows demonstrators shouting “One, two, three, Putin, go away.” The rallies were spearheaded by opposition leader, Alexei Navalny, who is currently serving his third prison sentence this year, a 20-day jail term for violating laws behind organising public rallies. Navalny hopes to run against Putin in next year’s presidential election. Credit: Instagram/OpenRussia_org via Storyful
