An enormous puppet created for the Irish music and arts festival, the Fleadh, stumbled in the streets of Dromore West in County Sligo with a pint of Guinness and a bottle of whiskey in his hand.

It is hilarious to see people's reaction as they come across Arthur. Sometimes he just sits there against the wall and acts all drunk. Other times he dances to the music and pretends that he is drinking beer from his gigantic bottle.

He walks down the crowd of people and blocks their way, he makes funny gestures with his hands which making children stare with amazement and makes adults smile and cheer.

This video was recorded in 2011 and uploaded by Aidan Crotty who told Storyful about the festival:

"The Puppet is known as ‘Arthur, the drunken man.’ This (non-polycarbonate) puppet was created by artist Cillian Rogers.

Since its creation thirty years ago the artist has traveled to festivals around the world, from the USA to Portugal. This video was filmed in Cillian’s’ local village of Dromore West, Sligo, at a regional Fleadh (traditional Irish music festival) in 2011."

That a very creative way to celebrate a music festival in Ireland, cheers to that!
