More than 50 people were killed and more than 400 injured in a shooting at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino late on Sunday, October 1. Sheriff Joseph Michael Lombardo confirmed shortly after the shooting that the suspect, 64-year-old Stephen Pollack, was found dead by police. Footage from the incident shows people running from the scene before a round of gunshots can be heard. Karen Negraiff Belland, who shared the footage on Facebook, said, “We were hiding away from the shooter under the bleachers. Couldn’t tell where the machine gun shots were coming from. Honestly, it sounded like fireworks at first, then got very serious very fast, people running, people injured, were shots flying over our heads!!” Credit: Karen Negraiff Belland via Storyful
