3rd person dies after tanker truck with jet fuel hits 2 cars on Pennsylvania Turnpike

Authorities have confirmed a third fatality resulting from a weekend collision on the Pennsylvania Turnpike involving a tanker truck transporting jet fuel and two stationary cars.

The incident occurred on the northbound lanes of I-476, located on the Northeast Extension of the turnpike, just prior to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in Worcester Township, Montgomery County.

According to state troopers, a vehicle with a flat tire came to a halt in the right lane of the highway, and another vehicle pulled up behind it, with its hazard lights activated, WJAC NBC 6 reported.
