Anti-globalisation protesters engaged police in running street battles as they tried to reach the venue of the Group of Seven (G7) summit on labor outside Turin, on September 30. Protesters were rallying against low-pay jobs and short-term contracts. According to Italian news media, protesters tried but failed to push through the police cordon to the former royal residence Reggia di Venaria where the meeting was held. Saturday’s clashes followed a night of violence in the centre of Turin. Credit: Twitter/infoaut via Storyful
