Northern Territory police officers clashed violently with people taking part in a rally calling for action over deaths in custody and the youth detention system in Alice Springs on Friday, September 29. This footage shows police urging those protesting to leave the Stuart Highway to avoid traffic. They are also seen wrestling and fighting with protesters. The ABC reported that some people were arrested, among them Dylan Voller, an Indigenous Australian man who rose to prominence when footage showing him being restrained by a hood and tied to a chair while in youth detention caused outrage.
