Ash and Steam Seen Rising From Vanuatu's Manaro Volcano

The government of Vanuatu on Thursday ordered the 11,000 residents of the island of Ambae to be evacuated due to concerns that a eruption from the Manaro volcano could be imminent. Officials declared a state of emergency on Monday and moved people to shelters on the island after a major uptick in activity from the volcano.
