"Europe Shaken By Terrorist Attack" Two Swedish Football Fans Killed In Brussels, Suspect Shot Dead

The Euro 2024 qualifier between Belgium and Sweden was suspended at halftime and subsequently abandoned, after two Swedish nationals were shot dead and a third wounded in central Brussels on October 16 night.
The suspected assailant was later shot dead at a cafe in the Belgian capital on the morning of October 17. He had fled the scene after the shooting as the football match was about to start. Police in Brussels had launched a massive manhunt and raised Belgian capital's terror alert to the highest level.
