Rumble Residents of the French Carribean island of Guadaloupe woke to widespread damage and flooding on September 19 after a night of violent weather brought by Hurricane Maria. The local government said on that date that the situation remained “dangerous” due to high winds and heavy rain. This video shows a person wading through the floods in Pointe-a-Pitre. The water in the coastal city can be seen to reach the top of the car tires submerged in the flood. Credit: YouTube/Jean-Michel Webbe via Storyful
