TO KNOW AND LOVE THEM WELL

John 13:34 New King James Version
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

As I was reading this very familiar passage of scripture, I was thinking a lot about what it means to show love to others, especially to those that are “different” from me, because I'll be honest, I have a hard time in that area. With everything going on in our world today, I want to do what God says in sharing the love of Jesus with them, but I'm either too scared or enveloped in my own world to do so. I think that's why the questions from this morning's devotional challenged my heart so deeply and I'd like to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions very carefully, and I pray that God will speak to you through them as well.

How can you know others more deeply?

What will it look like for you to love them the way God loves you?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me from His Word this morning, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you will help you to see the importance of taking the time to truly know and love others well. Come join me in this vlog tonight my friends and learn how you can truly show the love of Jesus to others, regardless of personal biases, differences, or anything else! 😊

So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to challenge you with these questions from this morning's devotional, and I pray that you will take the time to see how important it is to show Christ like love and compassion to others. I especially challenge all of you to find ways to show that grace and mercy to those who need it most. After all, it's not only a reminder of what God did for us, in saving us from sin, but a challenge, to show that same love and mercy to those around us, even those who we think don't deserve it. I pray that you realize that this is a beautiful picture of God's grace, and that we should be willing to share this beautiful and wonderful act of God's love with others, regardless of who they think they are, their lifestyle, or anything else about them. Don't be afraid to take the time to truly get to know those around you, and make sure that you love them well!
