The past month has been living hell for the residents in the Southern United States. First it was Hurricane Harvey, slowly but viciously tearing down homes and destroying entire cities. Just when southerners thought they might finally catch a break, came Hurricane Irma, said to be a storm more devastating that Hurricane Andrew. That was the most destructive storm to even hit Florida and the Bahamas, up until now.

As the storm passes, people are coming out of their shelters to asses the damages and count their blessings, but while those Category 4 Irma winds were blowing in the Bahamas on September 10, one brave fella decided that there is no time like the present for some very extreme sports activities.

The dude can be seen in the distance, way far into the water, with his grip firmly on the bar of his kite, boarding away. However terrifying, probably most extreme athletes will agree. A real adrenaline junkie will not pass the opportunity to ride some waves when there are such awesome gusts of wind at sea!

This must have been recorded before residents woke up to find that Irma had sucked their ocean dry to the bottom. What was once beautiful blue waters is just wet sand and a few conch shells here and there. The next day, though, storm surge brought the water back and the beauty of the Bahamas along with it.
