Water in Tampa, Florida, receded from shorelines on Sunday, September 10, as Hurricane Irma approached the southern United States. Meteorologist Judson Jones said the water will rush back toward land once the winds change direction, CNN reported. This drone footage shows the scene along the Bayshore Boulevard, which is normally fronted by higher water. Forecasters warned of “life-threatening situations” with storm surges and flooding along the west coast of Florida as Hurricane Irma neared Sunday evening. A separate storm, Hurricane Jose, was in the Caribbean but had begun to weaken as it tracked northwest. Credit: Twitter/Dylang_1 via Storyful
