Hundreds of thousands of south Florida residents experienced power outages during heavy winds and rain in Miami-Dade and Broward counties on September 10, as Hurricane Irma made landfall in the Florida Keys as a Category 4 storm. Southern Florida remains under hurricane and storm surge warnings at the time of writing on September 10. The storm is expected to move northwest towards Tampa Bay over the coming hours.
