Thousands descended on Sydney’s Town Hall on Sunday, September 10, to rally for marriage equality ahead of the controversial postal plebiscite. An estimated 30,000 marchers took to the streets in support of a yes vote. The postal vote will be mailed to 16 million Australian voters from September 12, after the High Court ruled on September 7 that the government’s $122 million plebiscite was lawful. The results of the survey will be available on November 15. Credit: Twitter/Emily Mulligan via Storyful
