Dozens of migrants arriving from north Africa scattered across a beach in western Sicily as sunbathers looked on. According to local reports, their boat landed on a beach near the city of Agrigento on Wednesday, September 6. A local news report from Agrigento on Thursday said there had been three boat landings at the beach within 26 hours. Over 93,000 migrants, many from sub-Saharan Africa, arrived in Italy between January and the start of August, according to European border and coast guard agency Frontex.
