Commuters at Pearse Station in Dublin, Ireland, were delighted by a newly-installed public piano on September 7, with many travelers using the opportunity to brush up on their musical skills. The piano will be a permanent fixture at the station and will allow commuters to relax while on their daily commute. According to local media, piano tuner John Murphy came up with the idea after becoming inspired by similar installments in the UK. The piano, decorated by Irish artist Sarah Edmonson, features an underwater scene with an octopus, to represent the coastal routes followed by Dublin’s Dart trains. Irish Rail shared a number of clips of morning commuters playing the instrument to Twitter on September 7. Credit: Twitter/Irish Rail via Storyful
