They say that, when life gives you lemon, you should make lemonade. That saying applies to everything in life - to try and look for the silver lining in everything happening to you that you don’t like. Pull out the good stuff and throw the rest away.

So when one lawyer from Atlanta, Georgia got fed up with law, he decided to leave the repetitive, ungrateful profession and start traveling the world. His first destination - the boot peninsula in Europe, where he would practice his art, strumming the strings of the guitar.

Juan Camillo Garza traveled to Italy and settled in Atina, a tiny village in the middle of the glorious country. While there, he got stuck with an incomplete acoustic guitar. The classical instrument had only the first and second string, which by any account would be considered a piece of scrap wood.

By Juan wouldn’t be an artist if he couldn’t make use of an instrument, no matter how imperfect it might be. So he blew the dust off the wood, sat down in a broom closet and started strumming the only strings he had, until he found a melody that sounded appealing to him. Then he sat down in the middle of the hamlet, turned the camera on and began performing a tune that sound very close to a traditional flamenco song.

He might be in the wrong country, but his heart is definitely in the right place.
