For the first time in the history of the U.S. House of Representatives, a sitting Speaker of The House was removed by a majority vote of the body. Kevin McCarthy’s reign as Speaker came to an end on a vote of 216 to 210. But what led to McCarthy’s ouster and where does the House go from here?
