Animal Rescue Shelter Flooded When Dam Opened to Drain Harvey's Flood Waters

Tall Tails Animal Rescue in Hankamer, Texas, was inundated with water on Monday, August 28, when officials opened a dam north of the shelter to release some of Tropical Storm Harvey’s flood waters. The shelter put out a call for help on Facebook. Kevin Miller said help arrived, particularly from the sheriff’s department, and that all the animals got to safety.
