Mumbai locals waded through knee-high waters on their commute home due to severe flooding on Tuesday, August 29. This video shows people in Mumbai’s Andheri locality carrying umbrellas and struggling to navigate the flooded streets. A floating mattress, submerged cars and a man riding a scooter through the floodwaters are also visible. According to reports from The Indian Express, multiple areas of Mumbai, including Dadar, Andheri, Worli and Kurla were waterlogged, and Wadala received a maximum rainfall of 10 inches (253 mm).
