Flooding in Mumbai caused a train derailment and widespread travel disruption on August 29, according to local reports. The Indian Express reported that parts of a Nagpur-bound Duronto Express train derailed near Asangaon after a portion of the track was washed away by heavy rain. No casualties were reported. Reports said the flooding, caused by four days of heavy rain, waterlogged low-lying areas and roads. Several trains were cancelled and there was disruption to air travel.
