Homes Destroyed, Boats Sunk in Aransas County

Aransas County, Texas, sustained severe damage from Hurricane Harvey as it made landfall early August 26. These videos, taken August 27, show the extent of the damage, including sunken boats, in the coastal towns of Rockport and Aransas Pass. Search and rescue operations are still underway in Aransas County towns as authorities search through buildings and flooded roadways. News reports said around 40 percent of Aransas County’s 24,500 residents chose not to evacuate, but only one person was confirmed to have died during the storm.
