Rail services were delayed for a time on August 28 at Tokyo’s Shinuku station, one of the world’s busiest stations, after white dust filled part of the station and a number of platforms. The dust was reportedly caused by machinery collapsing at a nearby construction site. According to NHK, there were no injuries reported in the incident and rail service resumed after a time.
