A man navigating Sage Road in Houston, Texas, in a dinghy on August 26 recorded an unusual perspective on the flooding that affected the area as it was hit by Tropical Storm Harvey. At least one person died after rainfall from the storm triggered flash flooding in several parts of Houston. The :Houston Chronicle reported one woman died after exiting her vehicle in flood water while rainfall of up to five-inches left many roads flooded. Hurricane Harvey was downgraded from Category 4 to Tropical Storm status after making landfall near Corpus Christi on Friday but forecasters warned the weather system would stall over the Houston area generating significant rainfall over the weekend.
