Tropical Storm Harvey Dumps Rain on Downtown Houston

Rumble At least one person died after rainfall from former Hurricane Harvey triggered flash flooding in several parts of Houston, Texas, on the evening of Saturday, August 26. The Houston Chronicle reported one woman died after exiting her vehicle in flood water while rainfall of up to five-inches left many roads flooded. Hurricane Harvey was downgraded from Category 4 to Tropical Storm status after making landfall near Corpus Christi on Friday but forecasters warned the weather system would stall over the Houston area generating significant rainfall over the weekend.
