Rumble Buildings along the Nueces Bay Causeway between Portland and Corpus Christi, Texas, were severely damaged by Hurricane Harvey as the storm made landfall late August 25 into early August 26. Hurricane Harvey left a trail of destruction after slamming the Texas coast with maximum winds of 130 mph overnight into August 26. The small city of Rockport, north of Corpus Christi, took the hardest hit when it came into the eye of the storm.
