Thousands of Texas evacuated coastal areas in the path of Hurricane Harvey on Friday, August 26, but many others had to face down the storm for their work. Sailor Ryan Ayers took to Twitter to share the impact of the storm from the tug boat where he was working to hold a drill ship in position near Port Aransas, Texas. Hurricane Harvey ramped up to Category 4 on August 25, with top sustained wind speeds of 130 mph at 60 miles off the Texas coastline late Friday afternoon. The storm made landfall between Port Aransas and Port O’Connor around 10 pm local time, according to the National Weather Service. Ayers shared this footage showing the conditions offshore near Port Aransas. Credit: Twitter/ryan_keith35 via Storyful
